Before you invite me into your story I should share a little bit about mine with you. My name is Alyssa, I'm 28 years old, I'm Filipino-American, and I was born and raised Chula Vista, CA.
I come from a family of 5 with a mom, dad, and an older and younger brother. I've been with my partner, Noah, since high school and we're going on 13 amazing years together. While photography was always a passion of mine it wasn't always my focus. I spent a little over a year as a student at SDSU and decided it wasn't the path for me. From there I worked my way up in the corporate world and was unfortunately laid off after 5 years. I took this as my sign to pursue what I love and here we are!
It’s only been a year since I decided to pursue photography full time but it has always been a part of me. I always borrowed (or stole, depends who you ask) my family’s cameras to snap random pics and I always find so much joy looking back at our family photos. Genuine moments captured in time. This has definitely inspired me as I’ve developed my own style of shooting.

I believe in creating and capturing nostalgic moments that you'll cherish forever. I’ve never been one who was very comfortable in front of the camera and I know how awkward and daunting it can feel while posing. I love giving prompts and creating moments that make the experience feel natural. Think of me as a fly on the wall who offers guidance to make you feel like the most confident version of yourselves.

Do you travel for photoshoots?
Yes, I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story outside of San Diego it will require a travel fee depending on where it takes place. Don't worry, I always try to find the cheapest way to get there because we love getting things done on a budget!
How do we prepare for our session?
I send all of my clients a guide when they book with me! It has info on what to wear, what to expect, and how to prepare both physically and mentally. I'll be there with you every step of the way making sure you feel confidant and like the best version of yourself.
How long does it take to get our photos?
You will receive about 5 sneak peeks within 48 hours of your session. Your final online gallery will be delivered to you no later 6 weeks (sometimes less depending on my schedule). You can download all the photos from the gallery and share your favorites!
What if we're typically awkward on camera?
It's normal to feel a little awkward and nervous! As your trusted photographer, I'll guide you through your session with ease and offer support throughout the experience. A big part of my style is documenting my clients living in the moment so you don't have to worry so much about posing. You'll be surprised by how amazing you'll look having fun throughout your session!
